A foreign-qualified applicant pays 5,000 for permanent and 3,500 for provisional registration. The council states that a good standing certificate obtained through the Medical Council of India in New Delhi attracts 18% GST in addition. The fee page carries no effective date and no notification reference.

What the council registers
The council’s own site offers these registrations:
- provisional registration for MBBS
- permanent registration for MBBS
- additional qualification, for a postgraduate degree such as MD or MS
- foreign medical graduate registration
- DNB registration
It also issues good standing certificates, no-objection certificates, duplicate certificates and corrections to the register.

The council states separately that from 1 November 2021 an application for CME carries a fee of 1,000 rupees.
Coming from another state
For permanent registration and for registering an additional qualification, the council asks for the original no-objection certificate from the parent council — the council a doctor is already registered with. The national rules behind that requirement are on practising in another state.
Applying
Applications go through the council’s own portal rather than on paper. The council asks applicants to attach an Aadhaar card as proof of identity and address.
Renewal
The council’s site did not state a renewal period or a renewal procedure when this page was written. The national position on renewal is on renewal of registration.
