State medical councils
One page for each state medical council on the National Medical Commission's list — its own forms, fees and timelines.
Registration is national in principle and local in practice. The National Medical Commission sets the rules; the council of the state you register in decides what you fill in, what you enclose and what you pay. Those three things differ from state to state, and each council publishes them — when it publishes them at all — only on its own site.
A page appears here once that council’s own documents have been read and dated. They are being compiled in order of the number of doctors on each register, as reported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Several of the largest councils have moved to portals that publish nothing a reader can check without logging in, so they are taking longer than their size would suggest.
Where a council does not publish something — a fee, a renewal period, a list of enclosures — that field is left visibly empty rather than filled from anywhere else.
