PG Residency
What PG residency in India involves for MD, MS and DNB residents: course length, thesis and logbook, mandatory courses, the District Residency Programme, leave, attendance and the final exam.
MD, MS and PG diploma training in medical colleges is governed by the National Medical Commission’s Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023. DNB training in NBEMS-accredited hospitals is governed by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, whose rules are set out in its manual for trainees. The two systems are recorded on separate pages because their leave, thesis and examination rules differ.
Service bonds that some states attach to PG seats are set state by state and are being compiled separately. Stipend is not recorded on this site.
