Internship
The compulsory rotating medical internship — duration, postings, leave, certification — and the separate rules for foreign medical graduates.
The internship is not an optional extra to the MBBS course. The National Medical Commission’s Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship Regulations, 2021 make it “an integral part” of the degree, and bar anyone from permanent registration who has not completed it in India. The pages below record those Regulations as published in the Gazette, and the separate licentiate rules that apply to graduates of medical schools outside India.
Stipend orders are issued by each state, university or institution rather than nationally, and are not recorded on this site.
